Quo Vadis, Lord?


 

Where am I headed in this daily race,

When trials rise and shadows cloud my heart?

Am I still walking in my Savior’s pace,

Or drifting slowly from the sacred start?


The call is clear, yet comfort tempts my soul,

To turn aside from crosses God has shaped.

But deep within, His purpose makes me whole,

Each step with Him, no path by fear escaped.


Quo vadis, Lord? I ask in silent prayer,

Guide me to serve with courage, truth, and light.

When burdens weigh, remind me You are there,

My strength renewed to follow through the night.


No flight, no rest till I fulfill Your plan,

To lead with love, the calling of a man.

To be or not to be, that is the quest: Whether 'tis nobler in the heart to bear The slings and arrows of outrageous tests, Or to take arms against a sea of care, And by resisting end them? To endure To sleep, no more; and say we end the ache Of time's unyielding heart, the spirit's lure Of burdens borne for heaven's fleeting sake. To die, to dream, no more. Ay, there's the rift, The undiscovered country from whose bourn No pilgrim e'er returns, our shadowed drift Into eternity's unyielding morn.
