Divine Echoes in Tinsuong

Today I walked where Pherzawl's heights ascend,

Three kilometers' path through evening light;

Where Tinsuong's gentle breezes sweetly blend,

And weather's touch is neither warm nor tight.

Her children play where golden sunbeams fall,

The air a gift that soothes both heart and mind;

While in the church, sweet voices fill the hall,

A sacred peace, the rarest kind to find.

The Hmar tribe's nightingale with silver tongue,

Elder Lalbieklien with family near;

His heaven-touched melodies divinely sung,

Enriched our worship, made God's presence clear.

What more could one desire than blessings shown?

In rain, in fruit, in fields where rice has grown.
