Bungjang's Bounty

Bungjang, the village where dreams take root;

Just a stone’s throw from Tallian (if you’ve got a good boot!).

Leijangphai’s not far, but who’s counting the miles?

With soil this fertile, you can garden in style.

Eggplants that strut like they own the place,

King chilly peppers giving you that spicy face,

Mangoes so healthy, the doctors just grin;

And Assam lemons? Enough to cure any sin!

The sun here’s warmer than Pherzawl’s, it's true,

You’ll sweat like a mango, but that’s nothing new.

Yet hearts beat warmer than weather or sky;

You’ll always get greeted with tea and a pie.

Neighbors compete for “Most Welcoming Smile,”

And the gestures here linger, mile after mile.

So visit Bungjang; bring your best jokes and cheer,

For the real fruit harvest is laughter all year!

And speaking of harvests, let me recount a feat:

The night I arrived, it was time to eat.

They boiled a medley: lady’s finger, peas on their leaves,

Eggplant in the mix (and what else? Who believes?).

At first, I stared down my generous bowl,

Swallowing hard was my short-term goal!

But lo and behold, as the flavors unfurled:

It’s just what I needed for my high-sugar world!
